About Relicrypt
What is Relicrypt?
Relicrypt is a platform for discovering and collecting AI-generated text artifacts called relics. Relics are fragments of text produced by large language models, extracted from the raw output stream as self-contained pieces of writing.
How It Works
You start with a composition — a set of at least three relics that serve as the creative seed. When you generate, the composition is fed to a base language model in a randomized order. The model continues writing until it produces a separator sequence, at which point the preceding text is captured as a new relic.
Every relic carries its lineage: the relics that composed the prompt that created it. This creates branching chains of creative influence, where each artifact has a traceable origin.
Mana
Generation costs mana, a virtual currency that represents the computational resources used to run the AI model. The longer the relic (measured in tokens), the more mana it costs. Mana is only charged when a relic is successfully generated — if the model fails to produce a separator before hitting the token limit, no mana is spent.
Collecting and Sharing
Relics you generate are private by default. You can publish them to share with the community. Other users can copy your public relics for half the original mana cost — and you receive that mana as a reward for sharing something others value. Copies stay in the new owner's private collection and can't be republished.
Organize your relics into collections, follow other users to see their discoveries, and browse the top lists to find the most copied relics and top contributors.
The Name
A relic is something discovered, not designed. A crypt is where valuable things are kept. Relicrypt is where you find and keep the things the model left behind.
